About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced AZ Driver to join our team in Selwyn, ON. As an AZ Driver, you will play a crucial role in our operations, responsible for driving to various locations for deliveries and pickups. You will ensure that all loads are safely secured and comply with transportation regulations. This role requires high attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive to various locations for deliveries and pickups across Ontario and into Quebec, ensuring efficient and timely transportation of goods.
• Secure all loads properly and adhere to transportation regulations to guarantee the safety of the cargo and other road users.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safe operation and report any issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, pickups, and vehicle inspections to comply with company policies and regulations.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and team members to coordinate schedules and ensure efficient operations.
• Operate a variety of vehicles, including straight trucks, tractors with Pup trailers, and dump trailers, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Assist with bulk deliveries by ushering and ensuring safe handling of the load, contributing to a smooth delivery process.
• Participate in both short and long-haul deliveries, adapting to changing demands and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• Maintain vehicle readiness by performing routine maintenance tasks and leveraging mechanical aptitude for minor repairs and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

• Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in long and short-haul driving, preferably with live load and bulk deliveries.
• Previous experience in the aggregate industry, tanker operations, or similar fields is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to blend well with the team and adapt to the company culture.
• Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job and operate under pressure with acute awareness and safety.
• Ability to cross the US border is an asset.
