Vice President (VP) of Sales


Location: Stoney Creek, ON

Salary: $170,000 +bonus

Why is this role important? 


We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Vice President of Sales & Business Development for a leading company in its sector. This role is essential for steering the company's marketing, sales, and business development activities, ensuring alignment with both the annual business plan and long-term strategic goals. The ideal candidate will bring a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA being a significant asset, and at least ten years of progressive experience in business development, marketing, and sales, including substantial managerial experience.


Key responsibilities include formulating and executing marketing and sales strategies, conducting market research, developing budgets, and identifying new business opportunities. The role demands a professional capable of maintaining strong business relationships, managing a diverse team, and driving new market opportunities. Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical skills, and technical aptitude are crucial. What you’ll do: 


  • Develop and execute marketing, sales, and business development strategies
  • Work with senior management on strategic planning and assess its effectiveness
  • Research market trends and customer needs for new business partnerships
  • Manage the budget for sales and marketing for cost efficiency
  • Explore new revenue streams through alliances and stay informed about our offerings
  • Lead client negotiations and manage sales contracts, including bids and tenders
  • Identify new market opportunities by staying current with industry trends
  • Lead the sales and marketing teams towards common goals with effective communication
  • Maintain strong relationships with external partners and internal teams
  • Be an active member of the executive management and product development teams
  • Hybrid work arrangement, optimally balanced for both on-site engagement and remote flexibility. You will spend approximately 60% of your time fulfilling on-site responsibilities at the Stoney Creek, ON location, complemented by 30% of your role being conveniently managed through remote work from your home. Additionally, this role encompasses about 10% travel, providing opportunities for broader engagement and professional growth.


Who you are: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a similar area is required
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is an advantage
  • At least 10 years of experience in business development, marketing, and sales, or a relevant combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
  • Dust control industry experience is a plus
  • Bilingual in French is a very nice asset
