THE JOB:

In this role, you will grow and maintain business relationships with mechanical engineers and building owners in the Chicago metropolitan area.


Your remote and field work will focus on securing new multi-million dollar projects in your territory while seeing each project's completion to fruition. Industries targeted include airports, data centers, semiconductor plants, life science, higher ed, EV, and multifamily housing. On any given day you may find yourself in a boardroom speaking with business leaders or on a job site surveying a commercial project with developers. This involves collaborating with other inside sales, engineering, and support team members to meet customer requirements.


A couple of times a week you will also be able to entertain customers through happy hours, lunches/dinners, sporting events, etc. Anticipate 20% overnight travel.


You will be given plenty of training and resources to drive success in this position. The right person for this role will have pre-construction experience in a sales, project management, or project engineering capacity.



THE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ MIN years of experience in pre-construction project management, engineering, and/or territory sales
  • Mechanical design aptitude
  • Enjoys socializing and networking with customers
  • Must live in the Chicago area and be able to travel throughout the territory to visit customers.
  • Bachelor's Degree required
