Established roughly 40 years ago, they are leaders in research and development and have significantly influenced the analytical instrumentation industry.


They need to hire a technically driven Sales Manager in the Houston area who will lead, motivate, and contribute to their sales team.


THE JOB

As a player-coach Sales Manager in the Houston area, you will lead a team of roughly 10 sales reps selling solution-oriented instrumentation equipment.


This involves being a front-line manager, helping your team develop new accounts and manage existing accounts. Day-to-day you can expect up to 40% travel Travel for meetings, demos, installations, and side-by-side selling with reps. There is a local office where you will be able to collaborate with sales team members, engineers, and R&D teams.


The right person for this role will have contribution and leadership experience in technical manufacturing settings.


THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of technical sales leadership and contribution experience in a related manufacturing industry
  • Strong understanding of long, enterprise sales cycles
  • Have a passion for leadership, mentorship, and employee development
  • Confident and consultative communicator
  • High technical aptitude
  • Open to up to 40% travel
  • Must live in the Houston, Texas area
