COMPANY:

Our client is well-established Global packaging company that specializes in manufacturing and distributing standard as well as specialized caps and weldspout products for MM and Enterprise CPG companies. They are well-known in the industry for sustainability as they use post-consumer recyclates and winning awards in Europe for both engineering and design. As they continue to expand in North America, they are looking for Business Development Manager to lead the new acquisition growth in the US and Canada.


JOB:

The Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing your territory from greenfield, acquiring new clients, and then responsible for managing the book of business. This role is a heavy f2f role meeting clients in person, so this person will need ok with 70% travel and will decrease YOY. The right person for this role will have either a good understanding of standard and specialized weldspout products and/or strong understanding with the customer market that would utilize them. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to take ownership developing the market for an innovative company and help shape it's growth.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-7 years of experience in operations, business development/sales environment
  • Must have familiarity with weldspouts, capsules, chemical closures etc.
  • Strong track record of closing new logos and ability to manage expansion
  • Experience closing larger deals on a 3-6 month sales cycle
  • High amount of travel visiting customers f2f in US and Canada with occasional trips to Germany
  • Must live near a major airport
  • BS degree in Engineering or other relevant BS/BA
