Salesforce Business Analyst

The Salesforce Business Analyst will work with the Project leadership and cross-functional teams to support the implementation of high-profile initiatives. Within the systems development life cycle, the Business Analyst will take an active lead role in the business and technical aspects of design and problem resolution and act as a liaison between the project and stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

  • Eliciting, documenting, reviewing, and obtaining approval of business and requirements from key stakeholders using industry standard methods
  • Conducting and leading requirements gathering sessions; analyzing requirements gathered; identifying, documenting, and validating system requirements for continuous integration and deployment
  • Preparing proposals for best fit technology based on requirements elicited
  • Reviewing and documenting system As-Is state and proposing the To-Be state
  • Creating documentation such as - Use cases, Screen prototypes, Specifications, and adhering to pre-established templates and utilizing a requirements management tool.
  • Analyzing, extracting, transforming, and documenting legacy systems' functionality, system logic, business rules, and context diagrams
  • Analyzing quantitative data to drive recommendations and decisions
  • Evaluating and providing feedback on vendor deliverables and/or artifacts throughout the project life cycle
  • Creating or improving existing templates for the business analysis functions
  • Participating in project meetings and calls with State, project, and vendor staff
  • Providing other business analysis support as required


Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of Salesforce experience working on complex projects with two (2) or more years as a BA
  • Prior experience assessing the clients Salesforce business/requirements analysis and experience with user interviews, requirement gathering and documentation
  • Experience leading business process analysis with several client groups
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree with coursework in Information Technology, Business or Public Administration, Project Management and/or Communications
  • Experience identifying project risks/issues and proposing solutions
