Responsibilities:

• The Product Designer (PD) is responsible for the user experience and design of Ring’s physical and digital product documentation across packaging and site; Guiding global technical and help center publication design systems to meet customer needs throughout their learning journey

• The PD leverages their expertise to create, refresh, and enhance complex device setup flows for a cohesive user education experience at scale

• They utilize user research and data to identify customer pain points and drive improvements for comprehension, accessibility, and sustainability

• Scope and drive device user education design development and execution for global technical and help center publications

• Contribute to the architecture of short and long-term user experience touch-points across devices and locales utilizing instructional design principles

• Foster shared understanding of customer needs in addition to how design, technology, and business intersect to meet those needs

• Use business requirements and customer research to assist in developing illustrations, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and interaction specifications

• Drive UX solutions that endlessly advocate for the customer and ensure their voices are heard

• Maintain design guidelines for international regions to streamline and standardize product documentation

• Support the preparation of printed materials for press, working with production to verify proofs and confirm file accuracy

• Meet all team deadlines and responsibilities by listening to others and valuing opinions

• You’ll partner with our team of designers, program managers, producers, and writers to help inform and guide development of Ring’s device documentation

• Working closely with interdependent cross-functional teams (UX Content, Product Management, Product Integrity, Compliance, Legal), you’ll use design thinking and data to contribute user-centric ideas for an optimal learning journey along all user education technical and help center publications


Qualifications:

• You are an organized self-starter with experience working on established and successful global design systems in a scale-up environment

• You consider details and tailor products with human-centered thinking—considering every type of learner

• You bring an expertise of layout, typography, illustration, and press constraints to support complex device user education and manufacturing needs

• Have an available online portfolio

• Bachelor's degree

• 4+ years of experience building out templated design systems, mockups, and prototyping in 2D/3D

• 4+ years of experience working with offset printing, dielines, color, material, and recyclability of paper products (corrugate, paper pulp, SBS)
