Job Title: IT Manager

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Salary: Circa AED 27,500 per month

This is a key role, responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our technology infrastructure across all entities. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications are advantageous. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management.


Responsibilities:

                                                                                                                                                                                                       

  • Devise and manage infrastructure and information Technology strategy and roadmap (e.g., servers, networks, storage, virtualisation, device management, security, and telecoms system) to ensure it supports growth and scalability plans.
  • Establish and maintain IT governance and compliance standards.
  • Research and understand all compliance regulations (e.g. cyber security, data protection etc) disseminate this information to our regional location stakeholders to ensure they aware of any issues that may impact them. Create Training Presentations and Policy to ensure compliance.
  • Devise and manage an Enterprise Risk Management framework (disaster recovery) for the business continuity management program goals.
  • Work to mitigate and remediate identified deficiencies in IT a timely manner and engage wider team support.
  • Produce an IT SOP Handbook, complete with related flow charts, process narratives (SOPs) and risk and control matrices.
  • Produce presentations and training programs to educate IT users on all IT software, especially focusing on productivity and data security.
  • Manage the IT onboarding/offboarding of staff, ensuring an excellent onboarding experience and a thorough and secure offboarding.
  • Manage and maintain video conferencing technology across all of the business.
  • Manage all company software including Implementation, User Manuals, Training Plan, Renewals and Licenses, User Management, Data Sanitization and Troubleshooting.
  • Conduct periodic systems and policy audits and report back to senior management on findings, recommendations, and timelines.
  • Ownership of creating, maintaining, communicating IT policies, and monitoring and enforcing compliance within all entities escalating any repeat non-conformity.
  • Manage the CCTV Cameras and Access Control systems, Assess Logs and Check for any breaches. Troubleshoot any issues to ensure security is not left uncovered and ensure all legal requirements are met.
  • Lead IT system related initiatives, developing improvements and implementation of projects as required.
  • Network and Connectivity: Ensure the reliability, availability, and security of the company's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, and remote access solutions.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring the company's cloud-based systems are secure, structured, performant, and cost-effective.
  • Establish and manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and outsourcing partners, ensuring service level agreements are met and contracts are optimized.
  • Third-party Supplier and Vendor Risk Management - performs third-party supplier risk assessments to ensure supply chain risk is managed throughout the supplier's lifecycle.
  • Research and understand all relevant compliance regulations (e.g., cyber security, data protection, etc) for our regional locations to ensure process owners are aware of anything that could impact them.
  • Regular reporting of key IT metrics.
  • Manage IT device Stock, distribution, and rotations.
  • Budget and cost optimisation planning and implementation. Manage the IT budget.
  • Oversee, collaborate, and provide absence coverage for IT day-to-day operational tasks related to Network and Connectivity, Cloud Infrastructure, and other IT operational tasks as required.


Person Specifications


  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in IT management.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving results.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT technologies and best practices, including servers, networking, storage, virtualization, data centres, cloud platforms, and telecommunications.
  • Networking and Security: Solid understanding of networking principles, security principles, firewalls, VPNs, and network architecture, with experience in designing, implementing, and managing secure infrastructure environments.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT infrastructure, security, and data protection within the regions in which we operate.
  • Vendor Management: Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Knowledge of Office 365, Business Central, Atera, Citrix, Smartsheets, Dropbox, and ERP systems: specifically, Easyjob, is a distinct advantage.
  • Structured, Methodical working practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, data management and quality of work.
  • Fluent in English, written & spoken.
  • Flexible to work based on the requirements of the live event industry.
  • Willingness to work independently and unsupervised or in a collaborative manner as part of a team.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and expertise amongst the team and other members of staff.
  • Good understanding and applicability of H&S requirements and practices.
  • Participate in training as directed.
  • Willing to work outside of the UAE on projects in the GCC and beyond.


HSE Responsibilities


  • Ensure work is carried out in a safe, healthy and environmentally compliant way.
  • Ensure a clear understanding of the IMS Policy and relevant objectives.
  • Identify workplace hazards and determine risks associated with them.
  • Identify environmental aspects and take relevant actions to mitigate any unacceptable impacts.
  • Participate in Mock Drills – Fire, Spill, Splash etc.
  • As applicable participate in Incident Investigation
  • Raise the alarm and report to the line manager any uncertainties or deviations when seen.
  • Ensure following protocols as stipulated by the Government in order to prevent ill-health and injuries.
  • Complete assigned HSE Training within the stipulated time frame.
  • Ensure awareness of legal requirements and work in compliance with those
  • Ensure to follow all HSE directives as stated by the Management
