Our client is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and dynamic workplace environment. We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager/HRIS Manager to join our HR team. This role will be instrumental in managing their payroll systems and overseeing the human resources information system (HRIS) to ensure efficient operations and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the entire payroll function for Ferroglobe, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Manage and optimize HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to meet payroll processing and human capital management needs.
  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
  • Provide training and support to HR and payroll staff as required.
  • Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production.
  • Perform regular payroll analysis to ensure payroll procedures are efficient and compliant.
  • Collaborate with HR, benefits, and finance departments to enforce and streamline payroll and HRIS processes.
  • Keep abreast of current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with employee pay, reporting them to the relevant departments.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in payroll management, including extensive experience managing a multi-state payroll.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems such as ADP, Oracle, Workday, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws related to payroll.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and payroll software.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Power BI
