Working Hours: Full Time 8:30am – 5pm Monday - Friday

Purpose of the Role:

 

Reporting to the Sales Director you will be responsible for maintaining and growing the current customer based with also a focus on identifying new potential customers.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

·        Serve as the lead point of contact for all clients while building and nurturing trusted, long-lasting relationships.

·        To work closely with our existing retail customers to meet and exceed targets

·        Implement efficient route plans & customer call cycles

·        Prepare feedback for weekly trade teams meetings

·        To achieve KPI’s set on customer daily activity

·        Prepare and executive an annual business plan, reporting and forecasting results

·        To proactively work to identify new customers, new sales channels and target markets

·        To proactively develop and sell promotional programmes

·        To schedule sales appointments in our showrooms on a weekly basis

·        To work closely with our Buying team on new product development and implementation within the market

·        To achieve new listings in all accounts across multiple sales channels

·        To proactively focus on new business development across all retail sectors

·        To attend and collaborate in our weekly trade meetings

·        Ensure that credit terms are implemented in line with the business

 

The Ideal Candidate

 

The Ideal Candidate for this role is an experienced Field Sales Representative/Area Sales Manager/Territory Manager, with proven success in key account management. They will excel in building lasting client relationships and exceeding targets in a similar environment. They will demonstrate strategic thinking, efficient route planning, and effective KPI achievement. With a focus on new business development and promotional strategies, they will possess strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

 

Key Competencies & Skills 

 

·        At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role as Field Sales Representative/Area Sales Manager/Territory Manager

·        Previous experience in the Home, Garden and DIY market in Ireland, with an existing network will be advantageous.

·        Entrepreneurial, energetic with a proactive attitude

·        Innovative, creative, and strategic thinking

·        Collaboration and leadership skills

·        Results orientated

·        Commercially minded with a proven track record in key account management

·        Customer focused with a demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer centric solutions

·        Excellent communication skills which convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
