The Company

Our client is a leading supplier of specialist insulation and related products and solutions for all types of construction as well as RMI; domestic, commercial and industrial. They offer solutions for all build types: masonry, steel frame, timber frame and off-site. Proving expert technical advice and specification in relation to fire, acoustic and thermal insulation applications, as well as a comprehensive and innovative range of airtightness and waterproofing membranes. They offer industry leading advice and product availability from Europe’s leading manufacturers. The successful candidate will receive in-house system and product specific training as required.

 

Role Purpose

As an external sales representative, the successful candidate will grow and maintain the customer base and sales for their territory. Engaging and developing new customers and leads, supporting these with technical knowledge and innovative solutions as required. Managing customer expectations and delivering on commitments. The role involves working closely with colleagues in internal sales, technical team, purchasing and transport/warehousing, as well as developing relationships internally with central services and the wider group network. Customer service and satisfaction is paramount.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate must have a positive attitude to sales and customer service and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. The core focus of the role relates to insulation products however, there will be a requirement to understand and cross sell core products from across the product portfolio.


The role will require the candidate to:

·        Drive and deliver sales plans in conjunction with the sales manager to ensure sales targets are achieved

·        Interact with customers, colleagues and suppliers in relation to product and specification requirements

·        Have the ability to sell our product range to existing and potential customers

·        Have a thorough understanding of market trends and factors which influence these

·        Have strong presentation skills

·        Maintain sales quotations, price files and customer contacts as appropriate

·        Ability to forecast and engage with internal colleagues to ensure availability of product

·        Maintain and manage project files in conjunction with the sales manager

·        Expedite the resolution of customer issues, ensuring best outcomes for the customer

·        Commitment to best practice, with a strong focus on quality, H&S and excellent customer service.

 

Requirements:

·        2 / 3 years’ experience in the construction industry

·        Technical and sales knowledge of insulation products an advantage

·        Self-motivated, with strong negotiation, planning and consultative sales skills

·        Excellent organisational and communication (verbal and written) skills

·        Strong interpersonal skills utilised to build lasting relationships with prospective and existing customers
