Accounts Receivable Manager  
Reports to:  Controller

Salary: $60 to $70k
Location/Schedule: Reno, NV, Monday-Friday

 

JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Accounts Receivable Manager is to supervise and oversee the department staff and operations. The Supervisor supports the Manager in ensuring the allocation of resources, performance and any competing requirements to meet business expectations, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) performance and other responsibilities.

The Supervisor assists in maintaining all monthly processes essential to the functional objectives of the department and the business partners are timely and accurately completed. 

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervise assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan.  
  • Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes.   
  • Provide training; coaching; performance feedback, recommending and administering discipline, and scheduling.   
  • Creates a work environment that promotes teamwork, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction.
  • Provides ideas and suggestions for new processes, services and technology to ensure Atlantis’ competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.   
  • Maintain and coordinate communication tools and ensure that users are properly trained.   
  • Build relationships with property operations department personnel. 
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and excellent relationships with internal customers.   
  • Manage the allocation of resources, performance and any competing priorities and/or requirements to meet internal customer expectations and service levels.   
  • Complete timely financial close. Ensure accuracy of all closing entries in accordance with GAAP.   
  • Determine work procedures and identify potential improvements to work-flow involved in posting, summarizing, verifying, recording, balancing, reviewing and correcting transactions.   
  • Perform other job related duties as requested.

TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE (Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience)

Required:   

  • Must have casino OR hotel experience
  • At least 2 years specific account receivables experience or equivalent.   
  • At least 1 year supervisory experience.   
  • Excellent customer service skills.   
  • Able to lead and mentor a team.   
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.   
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.   
  • High school diploma or equivalent.   
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:   

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent.   
  • Knowledge and experience with Atlantis’ financial systems (Infinium, AS400, Infor HMS, Delphi).
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook preferred.  
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task various assignments and work with deadlines.

 

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Nevada Gaming employee registration

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The incumbent in this position works on-site at the casino and interfaces with external/internal customers, Team Members, and vendors on a regular basis. The position’s work schedule varies and may include Saturday/Sunday and evening work depending on the needs of the operation.
