We are looking for an individual with substantial hands-on experience that would like to grow their career from staff to senior accountant and as you demonstrate your capabilities work towards Manager, allowing you to demonstrate your technical knowledge and expertise and build on your leadership experience!

Our client has an immediate need for an Accountant to join their team. With a long list of diverse clients which includes private sector businesses, professional corporations, consultants, and oil and gas service companies, our client offers learning, stability and longevity in the workplace.

Being a small to mid size firm, this position requires a “Hands On” approach with client interaction from the introduction of services, to an overview of expectations and completion of the file through to billing and collection. This position will offer a full array of accounting duties including, but not limited to the preparation of working paper files including financial statements, corporate income tax, payroll deductions, GST returns and personal tax returns utilizing QuickBooks / Simply Accounting, XERO, Caseware and Taxprep. You will be required to be both, oversight and a “Doer.”

To qualify for this position, you will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience with full cycle accounting experience within a public accounting firm, have exposure to industry-specific software, have fluid communication skill, organized and able to demonstrate a solid daily work plan and be comfortable communicating with client queries. Ideally you will have completed a Bachelor’s degree and be well on your way to completing the CPA or have recently designated.
