Senior Fund Accountant - International Commercial Real Estate

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Fund Accountant to join their growing team. They are a leading international commercial real estate investment firm. In this crucial role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for our diverse fund structures.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and detailed general ledger for assigned funds, including investment accounting, cash management, and expense accruals.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
• Analyze investment transactions and valuations, applying sound judgment to determine proper accounting treatment.
• Assist with investor distributions, including calculating and processing payments.
• Participate in the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Support the preparation of fund presentations and investor reporting packages.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting pronouncements and industry best practices.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or CMA designation preferred.
• Accounting experience with hedge fund and/or private equity real estate fund
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably within the commercial real estate industry.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS as applied to investment accounting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi Voyager, MRI) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
