Job Description:

As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our client's tax compliance and planning needs. You will work closely with clients, ensuring their financial well-being and compliance with tax regulations, while also providing strategic insights to help them minimize their tax liability.

Responsibilities

  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations
  • Client Consultation: Collaborate with clients to develop tax strategies and provide advice on minimizing tax liabilities while optimizing financial outcomes
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and productivity
  • Research and Analysis: Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, conducting research to advise clients on potential tax benefits and risks
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their needs are met and that their financial goals are achieved
  • Tax Planning: Develop and implement proactive tax planning strategies to optimize clients' financial positions
  • Reporting: Prepare financial statements, reports, and other documentation as required for client engagements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification required
  • 5+years of experience in tax compliance and planning
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in tax software and financial software applications
