Director of Accounting

The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and motivated Director of Accounting/Assistant Controller to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. You will work closely with the Controller and other members of the accounting team to perform a variety of essential tasks, including:

• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Managing and overseeing various accounting functions, such as accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, and inventory.
• Performing account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Participating in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Creating and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
• Providing support with internal audits and external reporting requirements.
• Analyzing financial data and preparing reports to support management decisions.
• Staying up-to-date on accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a corporate accounting role.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience with accounting software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in a fast-paced and international environment (a plus).
