Our client is a certified B Corp. in the green energy space! This is a 3-month Contract position (with the possibility of extension).


Join the team as a Commercial Contracts Attorney, or a Contracts Manager and embark on an exciting journey where you will collaborate closely with legal, finance, sales, and business teams to craft, assess, refine, and negotiate a diverse range of contracts. Your primary focus will be on master services agreements, scopes of work for our SaaS products and services, as well as NDAs and confidentiality agreements. If you have a background in SaaS and technology agreements, along with a grasp of privacy and data security considerations, we definitely want to hear from you.


Job Overview:


  • Collaborating with sales leads, professional services leads, and legal counsel to review, analyze, draft, and revise contracts.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to meticulously gather and manage the requirements for each contract.
  • Orchestrating and negotiating the contract process with customer and vendor procurement teams.
  • Contributing to the management of our organization-wide contract management process and system (Ironclad), overseeing the necessary processes for contract creation, execution, and analysis.
  • Maintaining well-organized digital records of contracts.
  • Managing the workflow of contracts effectively through communication and coordination.


Your contributions will be invaluable as you demonstrate precision and agility within our dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ideally, you'll bring at least five years of experience in contracts negotiation and management, preferably within the energy/utility industry. Your attention to detail, operational excellence, and innovative approach will be fundamental to your success. You should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, thriving under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.


Required Qualifications:


  • Strong familiarity with contract terms and legal requirements.
  • JD degree from an accredited school of law, bar admission.
  • Minimum (4) years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney (for the Contracts Attorney role)
  • Experience reviewing, redlining and negotiating technical (SaaS preferred) contracts.
  • Experience working with Ironclad is preferred.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities, organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Exceptional writing skills and clear, concise communication abilities.
  • Dedication to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive data with care.
  • Outstanding communication skills to engage effectively with colleagues, management, and business partners.
  • Proficiency across various productivity platforms and tools such as MS Office, Google Docs/Sheets, Dropbox, Asana, Slack, etc.
  • Preferably, qualifications as a paralegal or additional legal certifications.


Bonus points if you have experience working with utility companies or related energy firms (not required).
