Business Development Manager: (Remote) This role is an individual contributor. 

The Business Development Manager is responsible for strategic growth of the organization through execution of company overall sales and marketing plans. Identify new business opportunities/target accounts to meet Company’s projected sales goal. Proactively build prospective clients and help achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction and commercial results.

 

In this role, you will pursue and establish contacts with prospective clients, develop new accounts, manage assigned accounts across North America. Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals. Capture the attention of customers and motivate them to close opportunities quickly. Reports on sales activities and create sales quotations. Travel and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Prospecting. Identify new business accounts/opportunities. Establish and manage client relationships and meet pre-defined monthly sales goals.
  2. Obtain the required FAQs to understand new and existing client study needs.  
  3. Prepare formal quotes/proposals as instructed, lead negotiations, and overcome objections to deal closure.
  4. Prepare and execute Confidentiality agreements, and assist in establishing service agreements, e.g. Master Service Agreements, Terms and Conditions, etc.
  5. Deliver sales and company informative presentations.
  6. Conduct on-site client visits, conferences and calls to accomplish goals set by the business development unit.
  7. Manage timely execution of sales activities and report on sales activities.
  8. Maintain open communication with management, team members and lab personnel in order to smoothly coordinate quotation execution and deal closures.
  9. Assist and participate in marketing initiatives and business plan for new service promotion and gather information for market intelligence.
  10. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
  11. Understand GLP requirements and follow company policy, and project management procedures.
  12. Assist with Invoice approval, PO attainment, and invoice collection.
  13. Assumes other activities and responsibilities as assigned.
