We are supporting our client based in Staffordshire, looking for a Quality Manager to support their food manufacturing operations.

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to lead and oversee the quality function of our food manufacturing organisation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Quality Assurance Leadership:

·        Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures

·        Lead a team of technical operators to ensure adherence to established standards

·        Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement in quality processes

 

Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:

·        Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards

·        Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations

·        Interact with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits

 

Process Improvement:

·        Identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes to enhance product quality

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements

 

Team Management:

·        Monitor and manage quality inputs of technical operators to ensure understanding and compliance to requirements

·        Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills of the team

 

Quality Metrics and Reporting:

·        Establish and monitor key quality metrics to track and analyse performance

·        Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance to senior management

 

 

Communication and Collaboration:

Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to address quality issues.

Communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation to drive a quality-focused culture.

 

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Food Science, Quality Management)

·        HACCP Level 3

·        Proven experience in a quality management role within the food manufacturing industry

·        In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems

·        Strong leadership and team management skills

·        Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities

·        Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

 

Work Schedule:

·        This position requires flexibility to manage quality functions across a 24-hour, 5-day per week rotating shift schedule
