Senior Forklift Mechanic | Service Tech

Lift Power has a need for a Senior Forklift Mechanic/Service Technician to service the greater Tallahassee, FL geography.

This resource will work independently and own the field, working on customer sites and interact with customers face to face every day.

This resource will be swiftly interviewed, on boarded, trained, and given a company vehicle to get to work independently.

Ideal experience we are seeking includes 5+ years gas, diesel, LP.

Salary is commensurate on experience and paid hourly, with overtime pay at 1.5x.

Pay ranges from $18 - $35 an hour with room for negotiation based on experience.

Location: Greater Tallahassee, FL



  • 730-430 M-F
  • 40 hours per week goal
  • Average weekly overtime is 5 hours
  • No weekends
  • Technicians have a flexible PTO policy where they often times can plan ahead and take takes off without PTO penalty based on knocking out their 40 hours in less than 5 days


Job Requirements:

  • Serves existing and new accounts by diagnosing, servicing and repairing forklift trucks
  • Conducting tests and resolving problems
  • Establishes service by studying system requirements, ordering and gathering components and parts and completing installations
  • Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions and suggesting improved methods and techniques
  • Keeps personal and company equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance and calling in repairs
  • Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports and logs


  • Knowledge of internal combustion engines (Gas, LPG and Diesel)
  • Basic understanding of electricity and hydraulics
  • Equipment maintenance experience
  • Requires a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a clear motor vehicle report (minimum last 3 years)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer interaction skills
  • Must have or be willing to acquire own tools

Interview Process

1.     Will meet local Field Service Supervisor in person. Lift Power will cater to your schedule. Depending on schedule and urgency, an initial phone call may be requested prior to a meeting.

2.     Offer! Entails compliance check for background, drug screen, and motor vehicle check. A non-compete may be required, based on experience.


  • Day 1 come to Jacksonville, FL HQ (paid for)
  • HR new hire orientation and lunch with team

First 90 days

  • Depending on experience and needed training you will get a company vehicle in this time frame, as early as within the first month.
  • Must annually complete Crown quick start training (1 week in Jacksonville, FL and paid for)
  • 90-day performance review, annual thereafter
