Job Overview: The Machine Operator position is responsible for the set-up, operation and tending of extrusion lines throughout the plant.

General Tasks:

• Set-up, start-up and run extrusion machines to maintain production and reach production goals per hour.
• Cleaning and basic maintenance of the equipment
• Observing machine operations to detect any machine malfunctions.
• Checking the finished products coming off of the line.
• Packaging the finished product when needed.
• Completion of production reports.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors frequently.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Requirements

• Plastics extrusion experience is preferred
• Machine Operator experience is required
• Mechanical skills

Skill Requirements

• Ability to read and/or verbally understand and follow directions, read and write in English, operate a forklift and other job-related equipment/machinery safely.
