Machine Set Technician
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A typical day will involve taking shop orders as assigned by supervisor, reviewing previous documentation to determine if prior set up/record exists or finding similar job as starting point. Then gathering required tooling – coil, locator, tools – and using prior schematic, set up the job, check tolerances using tools, run test part, quality check to ensure meets customer specs, coordinate approval with Quality team and/or Manager. You will run short or long jobs as assigned by supervisor. After a job is completed, clean up, return coils and other equipment to proper locations, and document any adjustments to process parameters.
It is the responsibility of all employees to complete all required fields on the shop router paperwork accurately and consistently and track the orders into the floor tracking system in accordance with our Quality Management System.
This role will conduct required tests to evaluate the accuracy or deviation of process results and communicate information to senior staff and/or supervisor. This includes hardness testing and case depth measurement. Experience in these areas is a plus.
