Maintenance Mechanic Level I (Entry Level) - on the job training provided!

1st shift - $17-19 based on experience/background

Overview

Maintain and service the company vacuum dryer fleet. Perform preventative maintenance, product changes and filter changes on the equipment.  

Job description

• Perform oil changes and greasing of bearings.
• Inspect the equipment regularly.
• Keep records of completed Preventative Maintenance on equipment.
• Perform product change overs on machines and follow all confined space procedures.
• Assist in troubleshooting and participate in root cause failure analysis.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills required:

• Basic understanding of mechanical equipment. Prior mechanical background or education preferred.
• Knowledge of a variety of power tools and their uses.
• Understanding of safety policies and regulations regarding confined space, PPE, electrical safety and any other relevant safety policies to perform required job duties. 
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate both written and verbally.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb into, around and onto motors, engines, gears and belts for proper inspection and repair.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
