Our client, a home textile company, is seeking an experienced controller to oversee their business. The ideal candidate will have experience as an accountant in the manufacturing industry, preferably in a senior role. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, this person will streamline their budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
• Generate financial reports for senior leadership
• Monitor and analyze balance sheets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Monitor taxes and provide details for audits
• Work with external tax firms to ensure accurate and timely processing of both domestic and international tax situations
• Assist in annual financial reviews and bank related audits
• Assist and train direct reports
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
• Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
• Manage Finance & Accounting function

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of relevant experience in an Accounting/Finance role
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Strong technical, analytical, communication, and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
• Strong organizational and management skills
• Ability to see the big picture while focusing on the process and procedures necessary to produce deliverables
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product
• Ability to meet and establish deadlines
• Experience with international trade
