Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and meticulous Umbrella/Excess Liability Insurance Underwriter to join our team. The successful candidate will evaluate applications for umbrella and excess liability insurance, assessing the additional layers of risk and determining appropriate coverage limits and premiums to ensure financial stability and minimize exposure to high-value claims.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze insurance applications and supporting documents to assess additional layers of risk.
• Determine appropriate coverage limits and premiums for umbrella and excess liability policies.
• Collaborate with brokers, agents, and clients to gather necessary information and clarify policy details.
• Utilize underwriting guidelines and software to evaluate risks and make informed decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and partners.
• Monitor and review existing policies to identify potential risks and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in umbrella/excess liability underwriting or a related insurance role is preferred.
