Landscape Designer

$75,000 - $90,000 DOE


We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape architecture and design, with a passion for creating beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces. This role involves collaborating with clients, project managers, and other team members to design and execute landscape projects that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

Design Development:

  • Develop landscape designs from concept through completion, including site analysis, layout, and planting plans.
  • Create detailed drawings, renderings, and 3D models using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Client Interaction:

  • Meet with clients to discuss their needs, preferences, and budget.
  • Present design proposals and make adjustments based on client feedback.

Project Management:

  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
  • Conduct site visits to oversee the implementation of designs and ensure quality control.

Sustainability:

  • Incorporate sustainable design principles and practices into all projects.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in sustainable landscaping.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other designers, architects, and engineers to integrate landscape designs with overall project goals.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.

Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress and changes.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in landscape design or a related field.
  • Experience with residential, commercial, and public projects is preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Strong understanding of horticulture, plant selection, and sustainable design practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Certifications:

  • Certification in landscape design or a related field is a plus.
  • Membership in professional organizations (e.g., ASLA) is advantageous.
