A Monsey-based community organization is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Fundraising Project Manager to take ownership in driving successful fundraising initiatives.

This role involves managing and promoting micro-giving campaigns, leveraging the engagement of thousands of people for sponsorship opportunities, and leading various initiatives. The ideal candidate should be ready to roll up their sleeves, utilize the resources in place, and recruit a diverse team as needed to ensure that set outcomes are achieved. Creativity is encouraged to contribute innovative ideas to enhance fundraising campaigns.

This position can be either full or part-time. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills and utilize the right people to meet the evolving needs of this organization.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop Fundraising Strategies: Collaborate with senior management to develop comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify potential donors, funding opportunities, and trends in fundraising practices.
  • Manage Fundraising Campaigns: Plan, organize, and execute fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, online fundraising, events, and major donor cultivation.
  • Create compelling fundraising materials, such as appeal letters, email campaigns, and social media content, to engage donors and supporters.
  • Cultivate Donor Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and supporters through effective communication, stewardship, and recognition initiatives.
  • Provide personalized support to major donors, including regular updates, meetings, and acknowledgment of their contributions.
  • Coordinate Fundraising Events: Coordinate logistics for fundraising events, including venue selection, catering, invitations, and program planning.
  • Recruit and manage volunteers, vendors, and event staff to ensure the smooth execution of fundraising events.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Performance: Track fundraising progress, analyze key performance indicators, and prepare reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize fundraising effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing fundraising activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor information, contributions, and financial transactions in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, or related field
  • Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or project management, preferably in a nonprofit or philanthropic organization.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate the organization's mission and fundraising goals to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in fundraising software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, as needed, to support fundraising events and activities.
