The Director of HR is responsible for the oversite of the overall structure and daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department. This includes but is not limited to, recruitment efforts, onboarding processes, employee relations and employee retention, while ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy. The Director of HR will ensure an environment

of safety and open communication, and welcome discussion about any matter of importance to an employee.



Responsibilities:


  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the HR department.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the HR department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations of the HR staff.
  • Handles discipline and termination of HR staff, in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, relevant training, and compensation globally.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements processes, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Plans, develops, coordinates, and implements HR related trainings and/or HR presence at relevant trainings for the workforce, i.e.., New
  • Employee Orientations, Care Manager Informational Webinars, staff, and supervisor trainings, etc.
  • Develop and implements comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.
  • Collaborates with the relevant senior leadership to administer and implement the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
  • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
  • Assists with the monitoring of, and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices, as it relates to HR. This includes timely auditing of all new and existing HR personnel files/records.
  • Handles escalated employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Ensures appropriate documentation into the electronic employee files for accurate record-keeping
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies, procedures, and the industry standard
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the CEO or relevant senior leadership
  • Participate in mandatory meetings as deemed necessary by the supervisor


Qualifications:


  • Strong communications skills, including the ability to listen to the needs of others
  • Strong strategic skills and the ability to act as a visionary for a company
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR practices
  • Strong leadership qualities to lead an HR team and fulfill an executive function
  • The ability to remain calm in stressful situations and deal well with conflict
  • An ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Strong morals and ethics and sound judgment
  • Proven experience dealing professionally with difficult situations
  • HR-related experience in a supervisory capacity preferred
