Licensed Landscape Architect

Miami / Hybrid

$100,000 - $125,000


As a Licensed Landscape Architect, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and implementation of outdoor spaces. Combining artistic vision with technical expertise, you will collaborate with clients and project teams to create aesthetically pleasing, sustainable, and functional landscapes. Your responsibilities will encompass various stages of the design process, from conceptualization to construction documentation.


Responsibilities:


Client Consultation:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and project goals.
  • Conduct site analysis to assess environmental conditions and constraints.

Conceptual Design:

  • Develop innovative and visually compelling conceptual designs that align with client objectives.
  • Integrate sustainable design principles and environmental considerations.

Master Planning:

  • Create comprehensive master plans that address spatial organization, circulation, and land use.
  • Consider zoning regulations, environmental impact, and accessibility requirements.

Site Planning and Design:

  • Generate detailed site plans, specifying the arrangement and composition of landscape elements.
  • Design hardscape features, such as walkways, patios, and retaining walls.

Planting Design:

  • Select and specify appropriate plant materials based on site conditions, climate, and aesthetic preferences.
  • Develop planting plans that consider color, texture, and seasonal interest.

Grading and Drainage:

  • Address grading and drainage issues to ensure proper water management on the site.
  • Incorporate sustainable storm-water management practices.

Construction Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to ensure technical accuracy.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the implementation of landscape projects, coordinating with contractors and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Navigate and comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to land use and environmental impact.
  • Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals.

Continuing Education:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices.
  • Maintain licensure through ongoing professional development.


Qualifications:


Landscape Architecture License:

  • Possession of a valid landscape architecture license.
  • Membership in relevant professional associations is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in landscape design and project management.
  • Familiarity with a variety of project types, such as residential, commercial, and institutional.

Software Proficiency:

  • Proficient in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modeling tools).

Communication Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.

Problem-Solving:

  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to adapt designs to changing project requirements.
