Assistant Financial Controller

Our client is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller who supports the financial controller in managing the financial activities of their organization.


Key responsibilities:



  • Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Supporting the development of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances, and providing insights.
  • Audit and Compliance: Assisting in internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
  • Accounts Management: Overseeing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Financial Analysis: Conducting financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support operational initiatives.
  • System Management: Assisting in maintaining and improving financial systems and processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.



Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Professional Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in accounting or financial management roles, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail for accurate financial analysis and reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
