Our client is seeking a Controller/CFO who will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategy of an ecommerce company. This role involves managing the accounting functions, financial planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance to support the company's growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:
• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and profitability.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and capital expenditures.
• Accounting and Compliance:
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Strategic Planning:
• Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
• Develop and monitor business performance metrics.
• Participate in long-term strategic planning and decision-making processes.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and manage the finance and accounting team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
• Risk Management:
• Identify and mitigate financial risks.
• Implement and maintain insurance coverage for the company.
• Investor Relations:
• Manage relationships with investors and financial institutions.
• Prepare and present financial information to the board of directors and investors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• Proven experience as a Controller, CFO, or similar role in an ecommerce or retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.
