About the Field Service Technician role:

ProSearch Recruiting Partners, an independent franchise of the MRI Network specializing in factory automation career recruitment and hires heavily in the machine tool industry, is seeking a highly motivated Field Service Technician to join a well-established machine tool company with over 60 years of experience in the southeast market. As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' machinery. You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various CNC machine tools and controls.

Key Responsibilities of a Field Service Technician:

• Travel to customer sites in the southeast to provide on-site service.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools and controls.
• Train customers and internal team members on proper equipment usage and maintenance.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve service issues.
• Conduct high-quality, efficient, and timely repairs, preventive maintenance inspections, and machine/tooling installations.
• Recommend modifications and improvements to equipment, processes, and procedures.
• Continuously review and improve current processes.
• Accurately document service activities and generate reports.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Drive company vehicles to service calls.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

A Qualified Field Service Technician will:

• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Strong background in CNC machine tool service field work.
• Passion for customer satisfaction and excellent communication skills.
• Preferred formal education/training in troubleshooting, repair, and installation of CNC machine tools.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to handle a physical workload.

Physical Demands

·       Ability to stand for periods up to 4 hours without breaks

·       Ability to move/climb around machines

·       Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

·       Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.

·       Reaching with hands and arms

·       Must be able to talk and hear to accomplish job

·       Industry setting with moderate noise
