One of Knoxville's Top Family Law Firms is seeking an experienced Legal Administrator to oversee the day-to-day operations of this growing firm. The Legal Administrator will manage the administrative and operational aspects of our practice, ensuring its smooth and efficient functioning. This role is crucial in supporting our attorneys and staff in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients. 

$125,000 Annual Salary DOE 


The Legal Administrator will be responsible for: 


  • Overseeing the daily operations of the law office  
  • Maintaining a safe and welcoming work environment  
  • Coordinating and managing client scheduling and communication  
  • Monitoring and managing the firms’ finances  
  • Maintaining accounts receivable and payable  
  • Assisting with payroll and record-keeping 
  • Preparing and maintaining financial reports and budgets  
  • Maintaining weekly/yearly tax information and reports for the accountant 
  • Overseeing HR screenings for new hires and onboarding, while ensuring compliance with employment laws 
  • Assisting in maintaining compliance with legal regulations, including record-keeping and reporting requirements. 
  • Overseeing computer and software upgrades 
  • Working to resolve any IT issues internally and or externally  
  • Maintaining and ordering office supplies and cleaning supplies 
  • Maintaining and organizing legal documents, court filings, and case files 


The Legal Administrator will excel with: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite  
  • Prior experience in law firm administration or a similar role is highly desirable. 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills 
  • Knowledge of family law or legal terminology is desirable 
  • Accounts receivable and payable experience 
  • Attention to detail, privacy, and organization skills 
  • Ability to perform well under the pressure of multiple deadlines 
  • Self-motivation and demonstrated outstanding attendance. 
  • Possessing a positive attitude 
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze complex information 
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including listening skills 
  • Proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading.
