A well-established law firm in West Knoxville, Tennessee is actively seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to provide essential support to two attorneys. This role primarily revolves around wills and estate matters as well as insurance defense cases. The Legal Assistant should embody a strong work ethic, possess a minimum of three years of relevant legal experience, and demonstrate intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications.


The Legal Assistant will be responsible for:


·      Assisting in the preparation and organization of wills, trusts, and estate planning documents.

·      Maintaining and updating client files related to wills and estate matters.

·      Scheduling client appointments and meetings.

·      Assisting in the preparation of legal documents related to insurance defense cases.

·      Coordinating with attorneys on case management and scheduling.

·      Maintaining organized case files and records.

·      Providing administrative support to the attorneys, including managing their calendars and scheduling appointments.

·      Answering and screening phone calls, taking messages, and assisting with client inquiries.

·      Preparing, editing, and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and emails.

·      Handling document filing and record-keeping.

·      Interacting with clients in a professional and courteous manner.

·      Acting as a point of contact for client inquiries and requests.

·      Assisting with general office management tasks as needed.

·      Helping maintain the organization and cleanliness of the office.


The Legal Assistant will have:


·      A minimum of 3 years of legal assistant experience.

·      Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

·      Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

·      Knowledge of wills estate law and insurance defense is preferred but not mandatory.

·      Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·      Excellent organizational and time management skills.

·      Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·      Professional and friendly demeanor.

·      Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.


The Legal Assistant will be compensated with:


·      $41,200+ DOE
