One of Knoxville, Tennessee's oldest and top law firms, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team. The Litigation Attorney will assist clients in insurance defense cases, as well as handling litigation matters related to employment law and corporate issues. As a Litigation Attorney will be to provide exceptional legal counsel, protect the client's rights, and work towards achieving the best possible outcome in their cases. 

The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for: 

• Representing clients in insurance defense cases involving personal injury, property damage, and other civil disputes. 
• Conducting extensive legal research to interpret statutes, case law, and legal precedents that are relevant to the client's case. 
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents necessary for the litigation process. 
• Preparing and attending hearings, depositions, and trials, effectively presenting evidence and arguments. 
• Dealing with litigation matters related to employment disputes, such as discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage claims. 
• Providing legal counsel to clients on employment law matters, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. 
• Assisting in the development and implementation of employment policies and practices for corporate clients. 
• Representing corporate clients in litigation involving contractual disputes, business torts, and other commercial issues. 
• Advising clients on corporate legal matters, including contract negotiation, compliance, and risk management. 
• Collaborating with other practice groups within the firm to provide comprehensive legal solutions to corporate clients. 
• Fostering strong attorney-client relationships by maintaining regular communication, addressing concerns, and providing updates on case progress. 
• Staying updated on changes to relevant laws and legal precedents to ensure the highest level of legal representation. 
• Continuing legal education programs and professional development opportunities to enhance expertise. 

The Litigation Attorney will excel with: 

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. 
• Active license to practice law in the state of Tennessee. 
• 7+ years of experience as a Litigation attorney with a focus on insurance defense, employment law, and corporate matters. 
• Proven track record of successful case outcomes and strong litigation skills. 
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
