Duties: RESPONSIBILITIES-Electrical Engineer 1


Contract to hire position. $40-49 per hour DOE


Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering



We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Tennessee Operations team. The ideal candidate will offer engineering support to our maintenance and operations departments. Key responsibilities include ensuring safety, restoring product flow, addressing recurring design and process issues with technical solutions, and analyzing equipment and process data to find areas for improvement. The role also involves developing and implementing solutions and system enhancements, managing capital projects, and overseeing major repairs and maintenance projects. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer will provide process engineering support as needed.


Skills: QUALIFICATIONS--Electrical Engineer 1


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an electrical engineering field
  • Minimum of 1 years' experience with working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 


Preferred Qualifications--Electrical Engineer 1

  • Experience with ladder logic and programming/troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), Rockwell and Allen Bradley PLC experience is preferred
  • Experience specifying, installing and troubleshooting DC and AC motor drives systems.
  • Experience with networking equipment, installation, troubleshooting and commissioning. (ideally as it pertains to Automation Communication).
  • Experience with power distribution systems.
  • Manufacturing experience in the metals or similar industry, with aluminum rolling or processing preferred.
  • Experience with rolling mills and mill controls, shears, strip processing and coiling, metal process furnaces or casting equipment
  • Technical knowledge to support the installation, operation, and repair of electrical controls and automation technology
  • Previous experience with data acquisition systems and data analytics
  • Experience in justifying, managing and executing capital projects.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.​
