Job Summary:

As a Restoration Project Manager, you will be a pivotal figure in our mission to restore and renovate structures with historical and cultural significance, as well as contemporary properties in need of revitalization. Your role will encompass the full project lifecycle, from initial assessment to final delivery, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and clients, you will play a vital part in shaping the architectural landscape of Kansas City.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of restoration projects, adhering to project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
  • Conduct comprehensive on-site assessments to evaluate project requirements, constraints, and feasibility.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, schedules, and cost estimations.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to ensure accurate interpretation of project designs and historical accuracy.
  • Procure and manage subcontractors, materials, and equipment necessary for project success.
  • Implement effective project tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor progress, identify issues, and provide solutions.
  • Maintain clear communication channels with clients, stakeholders, and team members, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee quality control and ensure that restoration work aligns with preservation standards and industry best practices.
  • Address any project-related challenges promptly, identifying creative solutions and facilitating timely decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on project sites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven track record as a Restoration Project Manager, ideally with experience in historical restoration and renovation projects.
  • Strong understanding of historical preservation techniques, architectural styles, and construction methods.
  • Excellent project management skills, including resource allocation, budget management, and schedule adherence.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving aptitude with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Leadership ability to guide and inspire cross-functional teams and subcontractors.
  • A commitment to upholding ethical and quality standards in restoration work.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
