Job Summary:


The Mold Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire mold-making process within the foundry. This role involves managing the production of high-quality molds, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, optimizing workflows, and leading a team of mold technicians and workers. The Mold Manager will work closely with other departments to ensure efficient and timely production of molds that meet customer specifications.


Key Responsibilities:


- **Leadership and Management:**

 - Supervise and lead a team of mold technicians and workers.

 - Schedule and assign tasks to ensure efficient workflow and production timelines.

 - Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.


- **Production Oversight:**

 - Oversee the entire mold-making process, from design to final production.

 - Ensure molds are produced to meet quality standards and customer specifications.

 - Monitor and manage the maintenance and repair of mold-making equipment.


- **Quality Assurance:**

 - Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high-quality mold production.

 - Conduct regular inspections and audits of molds and processes.

 - Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.


- **Safety and Compliance:**

 - Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed.

 - Conduct safety training and enforce safe work practices.

 - Maintain a clean and organized work environment.


- **Process Improvement:**

 - Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.

 - Implement best practices and innovative techniques to enhance efficiency.

 - Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize mold designs and production methods.


- **Inventory and Resource Management:**

 - Manage inventory of raw materials, tools, and supplies.

 - Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of necessary materials.

 - Optimize resource utilization to minimize waste and costs.


Qualifications:


- **Education:**

 - Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (preferred).

 - Relevant certifications in mold making or foundry operations (preferred).


- **Experience:**

 - Minimum of 5 years of experience in mold making or foundry operations.

 - Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.


- **Skills:**

 - Strong leadership and team management skills.

 - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

 - Proficient in using mold-making equipment and tools.

 - Knowledge of quality control standards and procedures.

 - Strong organizational and time management skills.

 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 - Proficiency in using relevant software and computer applications.


Physical Requirements:


- Ability to work in a foundry environment, including exposure to high temperatures, noise, and dust.

- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment as required.

- Standing, walking, and moving around the foundry for extended periods.
