Dance Instructor
Full-Time Position
Location: Onsite in person (San Diego, CA 92111)
Gym Environment

Gym Studio Hours:
Qualified applicants should be well-dressed, outgoing, and friendly. Candidates must be able to work Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 pm-7:30 pm. ( we can be flexible on this if needed)
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of one (1-2) years of experience teaching dance to children/teens/adults in a structured setting.
Knowledge of youth development stages.
Content expert in designated areas of dance.
Ability to communicate effectively with members of all ages.
Knowledge of break dancing and other forms of dance
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
-Teaching group classes
- Work with the supervisor to develop program objectives and goals for each program session.
- As needed, create a written lesson plan for the program session that is age-appropriate and progressive.
- Be able to modify lesson plans and instruction to meet the needs of the participants.
- Create an environment that is encouraging to all participants regardless of skill level.
- Inform the Manager on Duty (MOD) regarding any incident reports that need to be filled out
- Work with the Supervisor to develop and lead program promotion and recruitment efforts.
- Record accurate attendance for all classes.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the program space during all activities.
