Salary: Minimum: $144,000.00 | Maximum: $216,000.00 | Target: $180,000.00

JOB DESCRIPTION

Oncology Sales Consultant – Fresno, CA - Prostate


PURPOSE


Responsible for driving the clinical demand, education, and sale of Nubeqa and Xofigo to medical oncologists, urologists, radiation oncologists, including mid-level healthcare professionals (NPs/PAs) within Oncology specialty within institutions (academic and community hospitals) including cancer centers, free-standing community clinics and treatment centers.


The Fresno, CA geo includes Bakersfield, CA. Ideally the person would live close to Fresno, CA as that is center of the territory. 


YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSBILITIES 


Oncology Sales Consultant, San Francisco, CA, Targeted Medicine: Primary Responsibilities


- Clearly demonstrate the clinical effectiveness of products and present a compelling value proposition to customers.

- Gain and maintain a deep understanding of various tumor types to educate healthcare professionals on the benefits of medications.

- Build strong relationships with office staff, actively seek customer feedback, and ensure their needs are met.

- Positively impact accounts by addressing customer needs and preferences, understanding their priorities, and tailoring communications to meet those needs.

- Work toward achieving sales goals by identifying growth opportunities, removing obstacles, and refining sales strategies based on effectiveness.

- Analyze sales data and trends to adjust strategies and improve outcomes.

- Utilize resources, market data, and sales experience to prepare for account discussions, always focusing on customer needs.

- Anticipate market uncertainties by focusing on broader trends, staying adaptable, and leveraging insights from colleagues.

- Develop networks and connections by involving cross-functional stakeholders and building on others' ideas to implement best practices.

- Embrace new technologies to enhance performance and work toward proficiency to achieve results.

- Show a commitment to continuous learning by reflecting on experiences, seeking insights from peers, and learning from past mistakes.

- Target and thoroughly understand key accounts and customers, maintaining a strategic position with stakeholders.

- Collaborate with other Bayer teams to provide patient and reimbursement support, aiming to exceed sales targets.

- Display thorough knowledge of the business, products, technical issues, and changing market dynamics.

- Focus on building strong, positive relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders, with a patient-centered approach.

- Exhibit strong teamwork and collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

- Adopt an institutional sales strategy, developing long-term plans to engage accounts through various gatekeepers and influencers.

- Consistently adhere to company policies, compliance guidelines, and procedures.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree

Minimum of 5 years of relevant specialty pharmaceutical sales, biotech sales, or medical sales experience  

Some specialty pharmaceutical sales experience in Oncology

Experience with selling a product in combination with a companion diagnostic

Excellent negotiation skills

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Ability to travel as necessary or required, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong cross functional collaboration skills

Passionate and self-motivated individual

Ability to comply with any customer credentialing and safety requirements (eg, up-to-date vaccinations, trainings)

As a condition of employment, newly hired employees may be subject to further credentialing


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


Degree in biological science or related discipline

Specialty experience in Oncology AND Urology strongly preferred 

Specialty experience in Cardiovascular, Diabetes Care, Endocrinology, or Diagnostics experience

Strong clinical expertise in various tumor types (Prostate, CRC, Lung, GIST, Sarcoma, Niche Tumors, etc)

Ability to sell in pediatric and adult oncology settings

Experience in launching new products and/or indications

Diagnostic and/or experience selling diagnostic or genomic testing

Academic institution or large oncology account selling and relationships

Familiarity with immunohistochemistry or next generation sequencing

Scientific background and understanding of clinical trials.
