Our client is currently seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer for an immediate direct hire opening.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Generate innovative solutions to design challenges, demonstrating their viability considering factors such as risk, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, weight, and cost.
  • Transition conceptual ideas into tangible products, defining requirements, selecting materials and processes, interacting with suppliers and manufacturers, and thoroughly documenting the development process.
  • Troubleshoot design failure modes to identify root causes and develop prompt, effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Evaluate designs through prototype testing and requirement verification.
  • Possess knowledge in Mechanical, Aerospace, and/or Manufacturing Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of design experience.
  • Proficient in CAD Tools, specifically SolidWorks, and exposure to Catia V5 (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and SAP business software.
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Project management of products from initial design concept to production release.
  • Track and record project milestones.
  • Assist the Engineering Manager with various projects/tasks.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, multitask, and effectively interact with other Engineering disciplines and external contacts.


Experience:


  • BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ Years of experience in Aerospace composites and CNC machining knowledge a must
  • Experience with CAD software platforms – CATIA and SolidWorks preferred
  • Proven experience in product development.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and the ability to optimize designs for cost-effectiveness.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Analytical and process-driven approach with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong multitasking capability, including work prioritization and time management/organization.
  • Proactive with a strong drive for results, capable of self-directed leadership requiring minimal supervision.
  • High ethical standards and comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work with ITAR designated data
