Position Summary:
The position is responsible for performing environmental testing (shock, vibration, etc.) to Aerospace standards
for an existing electro-mechanical battery charger design. This position is additionally responsible for supporting
mechanical designs, drawings, and PCB outlines of existing product improvements for Aerospace battery
products.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role the responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Execution of an environmental test plan in support of an Aerospace qualification program
• Mechanical drawing support of electronics packaging of battery primary & backup power units and
battery chargers.
• Create/modify assembly drawings and wire lists / diagrams for products.
• Generation, revision, and maintenance of engineering drawings and parts lists.
• Participate in sustaining engineering functions to include identification and validation of alternate parts.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
• 5 years of experience in mechanical design, testing, and documentation of Electronic Assemblies
• Working knowledge of Solidworks CAD & PDM is required.
• Familiarity with design, documentation, and assembly instructions of electronic components and
assemblies required.
• Experience in creating detailed mechanical drawings for piece parts, assemblies, machined parts, and
sheet metal parts.
• Ability to document/compile test results into a qualification test report.
• Military/Aerospace experience is desired.
