Job Summary: The Marketing and Business Development Manager will be instrumental in driving the firm's strategic growth initiatives through targeted marketing campaigns and proactive business development strategies. This role requires an energetic professional with a deep understanding of the legal industry and a proven track record in both marketing and business development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with firm objectives.
  • Manage all aspects of digital marketing, including website content, SEO/SEM, email campaigns, and social media presence.
  • Coordinate the production of firm collateral including capability sheets, biographies, bylined articles, print advertisements, and client communications.
  • Manage client alert program, including identifying topics, researching, and drafting client alerts.
  • Work with individual attorneys to develop marketing plans, identify strategic goals, and manage personal marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Organize and promote firm events, webinars, and speaking engagements and manage the production of legal podcast, including guest scheduling, recording, editing, publishing, posting, and promotion.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in legal marketing.
  • Track and analyze marketing metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and practice groups to support business development efforts.
  • Leverage the firm’s differentiators and reputation through market-appropriate materials, public relations activities, awards, and directories.
  • Manage digital and print advertising, including contracts and publication relationships.
  • Manage the firm’s CRM system, ContactEase, to collect, analyze, and proactively utilize ROI for business development activities.
  • Oversee the development of pitch materials and presentations.
  • Develop and coordinate all aspects of internal event planning (e.g., breakfast seminars, webinars, lunch and learns, cocktail events, client appreciation events), including invitations, speaker identification, mailing list management, vendor coordination, day-of setup, and follow-up activities.
  • Find and secure speaking/panel opportunities for attorneys.
  • SEO optimization for website content, including content strategy, keyword identification, links, and metadata.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee the firm’s business development and marketing budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing roles within law firms or professional services.
  • Experience with CRM systems (ContactEase) and marketing automation tools.
  • Proven success in developing and executing marketing campaigns that drive client acquisition and retention.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
