RightWorks is seeking a Senior Architect to join our client's team in Austin, Texas. We are seeking an organized, creative, collaborative, and forward-thinking individual. The ideal candidate will be able to offer, modify, or expand architectural designs for new industrial / commercial structures or renovations of existing ones as desired by the project holder.


The Senior Architect is in charge of collaborating with various stakeholders and leading the architectural team throughout the design and construction phases within the bounds of the generally accepted building codes.


It would be preferable to have experience with semiconductor, display FABs, and associated facilities.


The Duties and Responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:


  • Along with the project manager and/or client, develop and set the project's scope, architectural budget, essential restrictions, and design strategy.
  • Coordinate, direct, and supervise the team to find the best technical solutions to challenging design and client issues.
  • Develop feasibility studies and project cost estimates.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the most recent building codes and standards in the industry.
  • Collaborates with design and technical teams while supporting or leading the development of design deliverables from studies to Construction Documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Use Autodesk (Revit and AutoCAD) software to create architectural documents using computer-aided design (CAD) technology.
  • Revise or create project requirements
  • Examine the drawings for omissions, mistakes, interferences, general quality, content accuracy, and adherence to regulations and standards.
  • Examine product submissions for design content and outline the steps that must be taken to comply with specifications.
  • Create project file updates, transmittals, letters, reports, and requests for reproduction services. Project files should contain project calculations, communications, suitable reference materials, etc.
  • Help in the evaluation, upkeep, and maintenance of master specifications.
  • Produce and oversee the quality of construction papers in accordance with corporate requirements, either on an individual basis or on behalf of less experienced workers.
  • Carry out relevant tasks as directed


Education


  • The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering or related field
  • Professional Registration AIA / NCARB preferred
  • LEED Certified


Experience


  • 7+ years of experience in related architectural design and or engineering / field
  • Experience with semiconductor or microelectronics facilities ideal


Skills / Competencies


  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD
  • Demonstrated understanding of construction practices / methodologies
  • Experience with leading and implementing construction administration service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Code implementation and jurisdiction review knowledge
