Associate Chief Financial Officer (Groomed to be future Chief Financial Officer)

A well-established healthcare system in scenic Southern California is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Associate Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team. This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to shape financial strategy and operations across our 25-bed Critical Access Hospital and 75-bed Skilled Nursing Facility.

Position Overview: As the Associate CFO, you will work closely with our hands-on CFO and Chief Administrative Officer to oversee financial operations, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure fiscal health across our facilities. This role is designed to groom a successor for the CFO position, with potential advancement in 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing supply chain, utilities, and monthly operating reviews for 50+ groups
• Oversee Revenue Cycle, Health Information Management, and Gift Shop operations
• Partner with CFO and CAO on strategic financial planning and execution

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Masters preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare finance
• Critical Access Hospital experience (strongly preferred)
