is seeking an outstanding mid-to-senior level associate to join our highly regarded Consumer Products practice in our San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or Los Angeles offices.  Ideal candidates should have four to eight years of litigation experience, preferably from a large law firm. This position will principally represent consumer product manufacturers in responding to private plaintiff demand letters and government inquiries and in litigating consumer class actions alleging false advertising, consumer deception, and regulatory non-compliance.  This position will afford the associate the opportunity to work directly with clients and opposing counsel, to gain experience working with leaders in the field, and to join a growing, global team of subject-matter specialists.

Although not required, preferred candidates will have experience with a wide range of industries, including foods, supplements, cleaning products, technology services, OTC drugs, and personal care/cosmetics.  All candidates should be comfortable interacting directly with clients.  Experience with issues involving FTC, NAD, FDCA, CPSC, slack fill, greenwashing, etc., is a significant plus, but not a requirement.

Strong research and writing skills, excellent academic credentials, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to excellence are required.  Further, candidates should be experienced in working efficiently with both litigation associates and subject matter specialists.  Must be admitted to the California bar or eligible to waive in.

A resume or CV is a must for our application system. We also encourage you to include a cover letter to tell us why you are interested in this position and a law school transcript (or the equivalent).  Candidates for lawyer opportunities in the U.S. must have a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be a member of the Bar in the United States.

Compensation for this role will be top-of-market, with an annualized salary range of $310,000 to $435,000, depending on the candidate’s overall experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position may be eligible for a discretionary or an hours-based bonus, consistent with market practice. In addition, this position will be eligible for the firm’s fringe benefits as they currently exist.
