We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer who will work on projects that will include electrical design/engineering for schools, multi-family housing, office buildings, assisted living centers, warehouses, medical facilities, and other buildings.

Candidate Profile

The person who will be successful in this position will meet the following qualifications and competencies:

• B.S. degree in Engineering from ABET accredited university
• Licensed Engineer (P.E.) preferred
• Basic skills with AutoCAD and Revit
• 5 years designing electrical systems (including but not limited to lighting, power and fire detection) for schools, multi-family housing, office buildings, assisted living centers, warehouses, medical facilities, and other buildings

Responsibilities will include:

• Manages the employees within their team, including feedback and coaching
• Oversees the progress and profitability of projects within their team
• Works with the Business Development Team on setting the project fee
• Assigns projects to designers within their team
• Attends design meetings and site visits for projects within their team
• Helps the Designer scope a project (depending on experience of the Designer)
• Helps the Designer coordinate utilities (depending on experience of the Designer)
• Performs site inspections as needed
• Creates and edits engineering specifications
• Performs detailed review of project drawings
• Performs the submittal reviews
• Works with the Financial Officer on progress billing for projects
• Meets with clients for ongoing business relationships
• Performs other functions and tasks as assigned
