Project Engineering Manager

FMCG Sector – Co Antrim

 

Our client is a leading food producer based in Co Antrim who are planning a major capital investment to transform their site.

 

The Project Engineering Manager will actively manage multiple projects, liaising with clients and contractors. You will determine and maintain the project schedule by coordinating activities and resolving problems whilst ensuring that legal requirements are adhered to and budgets and deadlines are within the agreed limits. Core role duties include:


  • Developing project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans
  •  Determining project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements
  • Maintaining the project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities and resolving problems
  • Setting the budget for capital expenditure
  • Controlling project costs
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends and recommending actions
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Maintaining a clean health and safety record and overseeing the resolution of any problems
  • Making sure that all legal requirements are adhered to
  • Identifying problems with the project, taking the lead on developing solutions and ensuring solutions are implemented.

 

The ideal candidate will have proven senior project engineering experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
