We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a credit union located in Altadena, CA!

Type: Full-time, temp-to-hire

Pay: $27-39/hr

Branch hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Assists in performing month-end closing of books, preparation of income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and management reports.
• Completes all daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly investment accounting functions including the posting of all investment purchases and maturities and ensures that proper documentation is maintained in investment files.
• Updates the loan analytics tool (nCino) monthly and ensures that the model is reconciled and up to date. Runs reports, balances, and record ACL schedule.
• Assists with third party vendor for ALM and ProfitStar analysis by reconciling and submitting monthly files.
• Prepares and assists in the preparation of regulatory agency and governmental reports, including the call report, Federal Reserve FR 2900 Report, and the Business Property Tax Return and supporting worksheets.

Requirements:

• 5 years of proven accounting experience
• BA or BS degree in relevant field (e.g., business, accounting, etc.)
• Previous credit union or banking experience highly preferred
• Previous Symitar experience a plus
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting processes
• Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office application skills specifically Excel and Word
• Detail oriented and accurate
