Anchor Talent has partnered with a Texas based engineering firm to find a Transmission Line Engineer in multiple cities across Texas. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a team that focuses on detailed design of overhead and/or underground electric distribution systems. You will perform field survey, prepare design sketches, provide technical specifications for design estimates.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Engineer and design for overhead and underground transmission line ventures across a voltage range of up to 500kv, overseeing all stages from initial concept to project completion.
· Prepare field notes, construction drawings, details, and estimates as defined by the scope of work
· Ensure compliance and regulatory adherence with codes, specifications, permits, etc.
· Manage relationships with clients and contractors acting as main point of contact
Qualifications and Experience
· Associates or Bachelors degree in a field related to electric or utility distribution or 3-5 years of applicable experience
· Experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation
· Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, project costing and resource allocation
· Knowledge of NESC specifications, OSHA codes, Joint Use Agreements, Rates and language, and National Electric Code
· Valid Drivers License
· Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
